Safelink Wireless is a government supported program that provides a free cell phone and airtime each month for income eligible customers.

This service is currently available in Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, Wahington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. It will soon be available in other states.  

Eligible customers will receive up to 63 minutes of free airtime (depends on your location). It is available to those on government assistance, such as food stamps, Section 8, SSI, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Medicaid.
